The above photo is of me crossing the finish line at the Biggest Loser walk in Rockford, Illinois, June 15, 2013. I needed the cane because me right knee gives out and is in pain continuously. But with a bit of topical prescription pain killer, cool weather and the cane, I crossed that line. My knee needs a complete replacement and the orthopedic doctor has an order waiting. I am not in a hurry quite to his dismay. I am hopeful I will be able to cross the line again, but it is going to be a miracle. I was down in weight to about the same as I am now due to walking and not being sedentary.
